In a development related to the ongoing investigation into the Chhattisgarh liquor scam, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) has raided the residence of former Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel and his son, Chaitanya Baghel. According to Baghel, the timing of the raids is suspect, occurring on the last day of the assembly session when he intended to raise the matter of trees being felled in Tamnar for Adani. The ED’s probe has revealed a significant organized crime syndicate operating within the state.
