The educational landscape for tribal children in Chhattisgarh is set for a significant upgrade. The Central Government, through the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, is partnering with Coal India Limited to strengthen 68 Eklavya Model Schools. This collaborative effort will directly benefit approximately 28,000 tribal students, focusing on comprehensive development through improved education, health, and self-sufficiency. Coal India Limited will contribute ₹10 crore through its CSR initiatives to build computer labs, provide 3200 computers, 300 tablets, and install sanitary napkin vending machines and incinerators. Furthermore, the initiative goes beyond traditional academics, offering career guidance, and startup training through bootcamps in collaboration with prestigious institutions such as IIM, IIT, and NIT. This holistic program, administered by the National Scheduled Tribes Finance and Development Corporation, aims to achieve the goals of the National Education Policy 2020, ensuring equitable access to education for all students.
