Chaos erupted at Denver International Airport when an American Airlines flight suffered a landing gear fire just before takeoff. Passengers were forced to evacuate the aircraft quickly. The incident involved flight AA3023, a Boeing 737 MAX 8, which was set to fly to Miami. The evacuation involved 173 passengers and six crew members, all of whom were safely removed. Video footage showed the terrifying situation as passengers slid down emergency chutes while the landing gear burned. The FAA reported the plane was scheduled to depart from gate C34 at 1:12 pm. The incident was reported near runway 34L around 2:45 pm. Medical evaluations were performed on five people at the scene, with one requiring further assistance.
