The Chhattisgarh government has approved a crucial proposal related to the market valuation of agricultural land in rural areas. The decision, made during a cabinet meeting led by Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai, aims to address inconsistencies concerning farmers, those impacted by land acquisition, and revenue matters. The reform will calculate the market value of rural agricultural land on a per-hectare basis, eliminating the previous method which calculated rates for land parcels up to 500 square meters.
