A father in Kanpur’s Barra 8 area has publicly protested the hazardous road conditions following his daughter’s unfortunate fall into a pothole. The incident, which took place near Ram Gopal Chowk, has exposed the poor state of the roads, especially during the rainy season. In an effort to draw attention to this civic problem, the father lay down in the waterlogged pothole. The unusual protest captured the attention of passersby, causing traffic to slow down. He stated that his protest was driven by the daily incidents causing harm to children and the lack of road maintenance. The group also chanted the slogan “Bharat Mata Ki Jai” in protest. Locals have consistently requested the authorities to repair the road from Ram Gopal Chowk to Anand South City, but no action has been taken. This road is a crucial link between Barra and Gujaini and has previously caused injuries.
