Janjgir-Champa district is grappling with the effects of an indefinite strike undertaken by Tehsildars and Naib Tehsildars. The strike, motivated by a set of 17 demands, is causing significant disruptions to administrative functions. The impact is visible throughout the district, with essential services such as revenue court proceedings, property registrations, and the issuance of vital documents being severely hampered. Farmer registration and the use of the Bhuiyan portal are also experiencing difficulties. Members of the public are being adversely affected, and legal professionals are also facing financial challenges. Prior to the indefinite strike, a one-day protest took place on July 28th at the district headquarters in Janjgir, followed by a demonstration in Raipur. As a result of the failure to address their concerns, the indefinite strike was initiated on July 30th. Concerns are rising that the prolonged nature of the strike could intensify the difficulties faced by local citizens.
