The Food Safety Department in Raipur is actively working to prevent food adulteration before the upcoming festivals. As part of this effort, the department has launched the ‘Bane Khabo-Bane Rahiho’ campaign. On Monday, food safety officers raided Haldiram’s restaurant in Shankar Nagar, collecting sweet samples for testing. The department had previously inspected Sweet Hut & Bakers in the Telibandha area, seizing samples of various food items. The department is collecting samples of sweets, namkeen, and other food items from various locations. Authorities have said strict action will be taken against any shopkeepers found to be selling adulterated products once the lab results are received. The department’s goal is to ensure that the public receives safe and pure food during the festive season. The Food Safety Department plans to escalate the campaign and maintain a zero-tolerance policy against food adulteration to protect public health during the festivals.
