A new ‘Spicy Mode’ in Elon Musk’s xAI Grok Imagine is causing a stir due to its capability to generate adult videos. This functionality uses user text prompts to create content, expanding the scope of generative AI. The feature is available to X (Twitter) iOS app Premium Plus and SuperGrok subscribers for a monthly charge of approximately 700 rupees. The tool allows for the creation of videos up to 15 seconds long, featuring adult visuals and natural audio. While the company has implemented some limitations, the tool has been found to create content that may bypass these restrictions. The emergence of this feature was highlighted on X (Twitter) by an xAI employee, Mati Roy, in a post that was later removed, which drew attention to the AI’s ability to generate nudity. The tool operates by generating multiple images from user prompts, which can then be compiled into animated videos. However, the visual quality still shows the ‘uncanny valley’ effect, resulting in a cartoonish appearance for human faces.
