In Raebareli district, Uttar Pradesh, a woman is in custody after allegedly severing her husband’s genitals in the Jagdishpur area. The victim, Ansar Ahmed, was attacked by his second wife, Nazneen Bano, following a dispute. He received immediate medical care and was subsequently referred to AIIMS, Raebareli. Police are investigating the matter. Concurrently, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has recovered a minor girl who had been missing since August 2023. The girl was found in Pali, Rajasthan, after the CBI pursued leads developed from call detail record analysis. The High Court of Calcutta had previously ordered the CBI to take charge of the case after the initial investigation by local and state police.
