The community of Khardi village is in mourning following the tragic deaths of two cousins in a late-night attack in Thane district. The victims were brutally murdered by unidentified individuals who used swords and knives. The assault took place around 11:30 pm on a village road. Inspector Harshvardhan Barve of the Bhiwandi taluka police station reported that the victims sustained serious injuries in the attack. They were rushed to a nearby hospital, but doctors were unable to save them. The cause of the attack is still under investigation. The deceased have been identified as Praful Tangdi, 42, and Chetan Tangdi, 22, both residents of Khardi village, according to police. The bodies have been sent to a government hospital for a postmortem examination. A case has been registered against the unidentified assailants under Section 103(1) of the Indian Penal Code. The police are actively searching for the individuals responsible for the crime.
