In a bid to foster national unity, the Chhattisgarh Waqf Board has mandated that all mosques, dargahs, and madrasas in the state hoist the Indian flag on Independence Day, August 15th. The directive aims to promote a sense of togetherness and patriotism. The order requires the national flag to be displayed at the main entrances of the religious institutions. The Waqf Board has issued instructions to the mutawallis to ensure the flag is hoisted respectfully and accompanied by the national anthem. Dr. Saleem Raj, Chairman of the Waqf Board, explained that the decision was made to strengthen the message of national unity and brotherhood.
