The film Kyun…Ho Gaya Na! boasts an elegant presentation, with its sets, designed in polished teak colors, and outdoor scenes showcasing lush greenery, enhancing the visual experience. The choreography, most notably in the Broadway-style sequence “Pyar mein sau uljhane,” is particularly engaging. When viewing the film, considering Arjun and Diya as characters distinct from Vivek Oberoi and Aishwarya Rai enhances the enjoyment. The film continues the tradition of movies that depict gender dynamics through contrasting characters, similar to Yash Chopra’s Dil To Pagal Hai.
Aishwarya Rai’s character is in line with the romanticism of the Chopra-Dixit school. Her character serves as a contrast to Arjun’s playful nature. Well-written dialogues and key moments are shared between Oberoi and his screen father, Om Puri. One such example is the scene where they are forced to do the dishes. The second half is negatively affected by the appearance of Mr. Bachchan. Instead of allowing the lovers to resolve their issues, his character interferes. The scenes with the children, aimed to be appealing, are found to be irritating. The pace of the second half becomes uneven. Vivek Oberoi mentioned that the film is not a pure romantic film but is more playful and youthful. He views it as a man-woman story.

Oberoi found his character to be fun, as he could play jokes on Aishwarya’s character, but did so without malice. He stated that, as an actor, he creates a world for his character. Oberoi cherished working with Amitabh Bachchan and Om Puri and appreciated their comedic abilities. The film aimed for a lighthearted approach. He enjoyed that his character had a different view of love, which led to their interesting on-screen dynamic. He also mentioned that the film has a fresh feel.
