Prime Minister Narendra Modi has set a new record for the longest Independence Day speech, delivering a 103-minute address from the Red Fort in 2025. This surpasses the previous record held by any Prime Minister of India. His speech, which began at 7:33 am and concluded at 9:16 am, exceeded his prior record of 98 minutes in 2024. Moreover, this was PM Modi’s 12th consecutive Independence Day speech from the Red Fort, second only to Jawaharlal Nehru’s 17 addresses.
