In Raipur, Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai launched the SBI Cyber Vigilance Rath to begin a statewide cyber security awareness campaign. The Chief Minister acknowledged the convenience of digital technology but emphasized the increasing risks of cyber fraud. He said that people can protect themselves by being careful and aware. The campaign will use audio-visual messages, street plays, and puppet shows to inform people about cyber fraud and ways to avoid it. The campaign will target 29 locations identified as hotspots for cyber fraud. The Chief Minister advised the public not to share sensitive banking information, passwords, or OTPs, and to avoid clicking on unfamiliar links. He emphasized that cybercriminals are consistently developing new methods to defraud individuals, and that any carelessness could lead to financial loss. The SBI initiative, which has the slogan ‘Banker for Every Indian,’ will run from August 15, 2024, to November 30, 2025. The campaign will visit all 33 districts in the state, using local performers and street plays to educate people about cyber fraud and prevention.
