Arjun Tendulkar has been omitted from the Duleep Trophy squad, a significant blow following his recent engagement. The young cricketer, who represents Goa in domestic cricket, was not selected for the tournament commencing on August 28th, despite expectations. The North East Zone team has instead opted for other players. In the Ranji Trophy Plate Group, Tendulkar took 16 wickets in four matches. The Duleep Trophy will feature prominent cricketers such as Shubman Gill and Ruturaj Gaikwad. Gill will captain North Zone, while Gaikwad will play for West Zone under Shardul Thakur. The tournament will see North Zone play East Zone and North East Zone face Central Zone. The final is scheduled for September. All matches will take place at the BCCI Center of Excellence.
