In Sasaram, Bihar, Lalu Yadav addressed a voter rights यात्रा, advocating for the defeat of the BJP and encouraging support for his party. He called for a unified effort involving Rahul Gandhi, Tejashwi Yadav, and Mallikarjun Kharge to oust the BJP. Yadav used a familiar song to express his determination to see the opposition removed. Rahul Gandhi followed, raising concerns about vote manipulation by the Election Commission, pointing to alleged irregularities in Maharashtra and investigations in Karnataka. He also criticized the EC’s conduct and alleged a lack of transparency. Tejashwi Yadav praised Rahul Gandhi’s leadership and spoke against perceived injustices towards the people of Bihar. The voter rights यात्रा, launched on August 17, aims to address concerns related to the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) in Bihar. The 16-day यात्रा, covering 1300 km, will engage with voters across numerous districts in the lead-up to the October-November assembly elections.
