The Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) is set to relocate to the newly constructed Executive Enclave next month, marking a significant change under the Central Vista project. The Executive Enclave, designed to accommodate high-level government departments, is near the existing complex and houses the Cabinet Secretariat, the National Security Council Secretariat, and a modern conference facility. The new location offers the added benefit of being closer to the Prime Minister’s residence. The move is driven by the need for modern facilities and more space, as the current buildings, constructed during the British era, have limitations. The Prime Minister has emphasized the need for modernization, as evident during the inauguration of Kartavya Bhawan-3. The new PMO may also be renamed. With the relocation of key government offices, the historic North and South Blocks will be converted into the Yuge Yugen Bharat Museum. The museum, developed with the assistance of France Museums Development, will showcase India’s cultural heritage, highlighting its past, present, and future.
