Swiggy, a major player in the food delivery sector, has partnered with electric mobility firm Bounce to introduce electric scooters into its delivery fleet. Bounce will initially launch its electric scooters in Delhi-NCR and Bangalore over the next three months. These scooters will be accessible through the Bounce mobile app and the Swiggy delivery partner app, with exclusive pricing for Swiggy and Instamart delivery partners.

This partnership is intended to make electric mobility more affordable and accessible, reduce operating costs, and decrease the environmental impact of hyperlocal deliveries. Swiggy is already collaborating with over 50 EV partners to integrate EVs into its delivery operations. Furthermore, Swiggy recently increased its platform fee by an additional 2 rupees, bringing the total to 14 rupees per order, resulting in a significant increase in revenue. Despite these increases, the company reported a loss of 1,197 crore rupees in Q1 FY26 (June quarter), nearly double the loss of 611 crore rupees in the same quarter the previous year.
