The child’s father has come forward in support of the Supreme Court’s directive on managing stray dog populations. Dinesh Sahu, the father, described the traumatic experience and the subsequent injuries his son suffered. He emphasized the fear gripping the community and called for shelters for stray dogs to ensure children’s safety. The child’s mother, Preeti Sahu, described the incident and her subsequent actions on August 14th. Alongside the Udaipur case, a separate incident in Delhi saw a group of individuals obstructing a dog-catching drive, allegedly assaulting municipal workers and vandalizing their vehicle.
