Airtel has discontinued the Rs 249 prepaid plan, presenting a change for its users. This follows a similar move by Reliance Jio. The Rs 249 plan catered to users needing daily data at a budget-friendly price point. It included 1GB of high-speed data per day, 100 SMS messages daily, and unlimited voice calling. This plan came with free access to Xstream Play, Perplexity Pro AI, and free HelloTunes. The plan’s validity was 24 days, and it granted free AI access until January 2026. The company is recommending that users go for the Rs 299 plan instead.
