Cindy Rodriguez Singh, a fugitive on the FBI’s “Top 10 Most Wanted” list, has been arrested in India. She is charged with the murder of her six-year-old son, Rodriguez Alvarez. A warrant for capital murder, relating to the death of a child under ten, was issued by Texas authorities. The FBI also charged her with fleeing the law. The arrest was a collaborative effort between US and Indian law enforcement, triggered by an Interpol red notice dated October 3, 2024. FBI Director Kash Patel underscored that this arrest demonstrates that justice will prevail. The case began on March 20, 2023, when the Everman Police Department in Texas conducted a welfare check. It was found that the child hadn’t been seen since October 2022. The child was suffering from health problems such as lung disease and bone weakness. Singh reportedly told officials that her son was with his biological father in Mexico, a statement that was later proven false. On March 22, 2023, Singh, her husband, and six other children departed for India. Subsequent investigations confirmed that her son was not with them. Singh was added to the FBI’s Most Wanted list in July 2023, and her capture in India concludes this international pursuit.
