A devastating road accident on the Daniyawan-Hilsa road in Bihar resulted in eight fatalities and several injuries on Saturday morning. The collision occurred in the Shahjahanpur police station area of Daniyawan block. The victims, all from Reddy Malama village in Nalanda district, were traveling to Triveni Sangam, Fatuha, to take a holy bath in the Ganga River. The accident, involving an auto-rickshaw and a heavy vehicle (Hyva), took place around 6:45 AM. Five individuals were injured and are receiving treatment at Patna Medical College Hospital. Authorities, including local police, traffic officials, and ambulances, were immediately deployed to the site. The Civil Surgeon is working closely with the hospital superintendent to ensure proper medical care for the injured. The District Magistrate offered condolences to the families and pledged all possible assistance. Teams from the local administration, police, and traffic police were present, providing support to the injured and the families. The Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) of Fatuha-1, the Sub-Divisional Officer (SDO) of Patna City, and the Rural Superintendent of Police were overseeing the rescue and response efforts. The Daniyawan Circle Officer has been instructed to implement the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP), and all officials are collaborating to help the affected families. The Rural SP is overseeing the security at the accident location.
