The Mahindra Thar (3-door) is getting a major upgrade. The launch, initially planned for early 2026, is now scheduled for September 2025. Testing has provided glimpses into the updated model. The 2025 Mahindra Thar will draw design elements and features from the Thar Rox. Exterior changes include a new grille, updated headlights, and a refreshed bumper. Expect new alloy wheels and potentially new color options. Interior enhancements are also planned. The 2025 Mahindra Thar Facelift will feature a larger touchscreen infotainment system, an updated digital instrument cluster, and a new electric steering wheel. Features might include ventilated front seats, wireless phone charging, a 360-degree camera, ambient lighting, rear disc brakes, and a Level-2 ADAS suite. The engine lineup will remain unchanged, with a 2.0-liter turbo petrol, a 1.5-liter turbo diesel, and a 2.2-liter turbo diesel. The petrol engine will produce 152 bhp. The diesel engines will offer 119 bhp and 130 bhp. Transmission choices will be the 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic. Both RWD and 4WD configurations will be offered.
