    The Diamond League final in Zurich saw Neeraj Chopra, representing India, take second place, with Germany’s Julian Weber winning the competition. The event took place at the Letzigrund Stadium on August 28th. Chopra, a celebrated javelin thrower, has been a prominent figure in the sport.

    Chopra’s best throw of the final was 85.01 meters, while Weber’s best reached 91.51 meters. Chopra, who won the Diamond League in 2022, experienced some difficulties with three fouls in the competition. Weber demonstrated strong performance throughout, setting a high benchmark with his initial throws.

    Neeraj Chopra is widely recognized as a leading figure in Indian athletics, frequently called the ‘Golden Boy’ following his gold medal win at the 2021 Tokyo Olympics. His achievements also include a silver medal from the 2024 Paris Olympics. He was the first Indian athlete to win the Diamond League final, achieving this in 2022.
