A bizarre trend of applications for caste certificates with unusual names is ongoing in Bihar. In Gaya, an application was filed for a caste certificate in the name of ‘Bullet,’ with the father’s name listed as ‘Fortuner’ and the mother’s name as ‘Defender.’ The application was filed at the Dobhi zonal office. The Dobhi Zonal Officer confirmed that the application was submitted online via the RTPS counter, which operates under the Bihar Public Services Rights Act. The authorities are investigating the applications. After reviewing the applications, it appears the applications were made with the intention of damaging the image of the government and its officials. The Zonal Officer, Dobhi, has initiated a case, aiming to identify the individuals involved.
