A price reduction of Rs 51.50 has been implemented by Oil Marketing Companies on commercial 19 kg Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) cylinders, effective from September 1. There is no change in the price of 14.2 kg domestic cylinders. The retail price of a 19 kg commercial LPG cylinder in Delhi will be Rs 1580.
The retail price of a 19 kg LPG commercial cylinder in Delhi will be Rs 1,580, reduced from Rs 1,631.50. Kolkata, Mumbai, and Chennai will see new commercial LPG prices of Rs 1,684, Rs 1,531.5, and Rs 1,738, respectively, according to the Indian Oil Corporation. The prices for 14.2 kg cylinders have remained the same since April 8.
The cost of a 14.2 kg cylinder in Delhi is Rs 853. Chennai, Kolkata, and Mumbai prices are Rs 868.50, Rs 879, and Rs 852.50, respectively, based on information from the Indian Oil Corporation. This price adjustment is aimed at supporting smaller businesses across the national capital, including shops, hotels, and food establishments that depend on these cylinders.
In August, the Union Petroleum Minister, Hardeep Singh Puri, acknowledged the Centre’s commitment of Rs 30,000 crores to oil companies across 12 installments. This measure, approved by the Union Cabinet on August 8, seeks to keep LPG prices stable despite global uncertainties.
