In Bihar, a man named Pramod Yadav has been sentenced to 10 years of rigorous imprisonment and a 500,000-rupee fine for a second conviction related to alcohol smuggling. The sentence was handed down by the Special Judge Shefali Narayan of the Araria Exclusive Excise Court. The court also ruled that if the fine is not paid, the convict will serve an additional year in jail. The case involved the seizure of alcohol from Yadav’s property and originated from the Narpatganj (Bathnaha) police station, where the FIR was filed by Police Inspector Chhote Lal Chauhan. Yadav was previously sentenced to five years in prison and a 100,000-rupee fine for a similar offense.
