The Punjab region in Pakistan, along with its Indian counterpart, is enduring severe flooding. Within the past two weeks, the floods in Pakistan’s Punjab have caused the displacement of 3.7 million people. In response, the Pakistani government and various organizations have initiated rescue and relief operations. Among the groups involved is Jamaat-ud-Dawa, a radical Islamic organization affiliated with Lashkar-e-Taiba. This group, linked to the 2008 Mumbai attacks and led by Hafiz Saeed, a man wanted by India, reported that 2,000 members are currently engaged in flood relief efforts across the northwest and Punjab provinces.
