Guy Whittall, a former Zimbabwean cricketer, is celebrated not just for his sporting career but also for his incredible survival against the odds. Whittall, a versatile all-rounder, played international cricket for Zimbabwe for approximately a decade. His life has been marked by two harrowing experiences involving wild animals. In one incident, he shared a room overnight with a large crocodile, which had somehow gotten under his bed. In another incident, he was attacked by a leopard. In the case of the crocodile, he was unharmed. In the leopard attack, his dog saved him from serious injury. His cricketing career included 46 Test matches and 147 ODIs, during which he scored over 2000 runs in both formats. A memorable moment in his career was his performance against Pakistan, which earned Zimbabwe its first Test win, and a double century against New Zealand.
