In a bid to boost connectivity, Air India Express has launched direct flights from Ahmedabad and Chandigarh to Bengaluru. This initiative offers streamlined travel options for passengers traveling to Bengaluru. The flights from Ahmedabad will operate daily, with an increase to twice-daily frequency from September 16. Chandigarh will have two daily non-stop flights. The airline emphasized that Bengaluru is its major domestic hub, facilitating over 400 weekly flights to 34 cities. From Ahmedabad, travelers can seamlessly connect via Bengaluru to 26 domestic destinations and 3 international locations. Passengers from Chandigarh can connect through Bengaluru to 23 destinations across South Asia. The inaugural flights began on September 1. Air India Express will also commence Bengaluru-Dehradun service on September 15. Air India Express offers over 405 weekly flights from Bengaluru, offering direct links to 34 domestic and 3 international destinations. The domestic network includes destinations such as Goa, Delhi, and Kolkata, while international destinations encompass Abu Dhabi, Dammam, and Kathmandu.
