The Bengaluru-Chennai Expressway in Karnataka, which is 71 km long, has initiated toll collection. Starting from September 4, the NHAI is collecting tolls on the portion of the expressway from Hedigenbale (near Hoskote) to Sundarpalya (near KGF). Car drivers will pay Rs 185 for a one-way journey from Hedigenbale to Sundarpalya, or Rs 275 for a round trip. The toll is Rs 190 for a one-way trip from Sundarpalya to Hedigenbale, or Rs 280 for a round trip. Tolls for other vehicle types, such as LCVs, LGVs, minibuses, trucks and buses, can be as high as Rs 955. Toll plazas are situated at Hedigenbale, Agrahara, Krishnarajapura and Sundarpalya. Drivers with Fastag annual passes (Rs 3,000) are also able to use the route. The expressway is designed for speeds of up to 120 kmph. Currently, the Karnataka section is operational, while the entire expressway is expected to be completed by July 2026. Monthly passes for cars are priced at Rs 6,105 (50 one-way trips) and Rs 6,260 (round trip).
