A man has been arrested in Noida, Uttar Pradesh, in connection with a bomb threat issued to Mumbai. The threat, received by the Mumbai Traffic Police on WhatsApp, detailed plans for multiple attacks using ‘human bombs’ and RDX. The suspect, Ashwini Kumar, allegedly sent the threatening message, stating that 34 vehicles would be used to carry out the attacks, each containing 400 kilograms of RDX. Security has been heightened across Maharashtra. The Mumbai Police are investigating all facets of the threat. The message, purportedly from ‘Lashkar-e-Jihadi’, also suggested the involvement of Pakistani terrorists. The accused, who works as an astrologer, has been residing in Noida.
