When questioned about resetting relations, Trump reaffirmed his friendship while acknowledging disagreements. He discussed his disappointment regarding India’s oil purchases from Russia, mentioning a significant tariff. The MEA spokesperson previously underscored the importance of the bilateral relationship during a weekly press briefing. The spokesperson highlighted the strategic partnership rooted in shared interests, democratic values, and strong people-to-people ties, emphasizing its resilience and the continued focus on their agenda, hoping for further progress based on mutual respect and shared interests.
