The India Meteorological Department (IMD) predicts thundershowers for Delhi on Monday, following a period of heavy rainfall. The maximum temperature is expected to be around 35°C, with a minimum of 24°C. The Yamuna River’s water levels have subsided, though some floodplains are still underwater. The air quality index in Delhi is currently satisfactory. However, the AQEWS forecasts the AQI to deteriorate to ‘moderate’ levels. Heavy rains in Northern India are easing, bringing relief to Punjab and Himachal Pradesh. Gujarat’s monsoon is marked by contrasting conditions; some areas flooded, others dry. A depression forming over North Gujarat has triggered IMD alerts, including warnings for fishermen. Rescue operations are ongoing, involving NDRF and SDRF teams. Punjab is experiencing significant flooding, prompting the Indian Army to assist in rescue and relief operations. The IMD has issued specific alerts for various states, including East Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, West Bengal & Sikkim, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Coastal Andhra Pradesh & Yanam, Tamil Nadu, and Kerala.
