The Ranchi police have successfully resolved a murder case involving the shooting death of Ravi Kumar on September 7th. The incident, which took place in the Ratu police station area, also left Rajballabh Gop injured. A rapid investigation, completed within 12 hours, led to the arrest of six individuals, including the main perpetrator and the shooters. The primary suspect, Kunal Kumar, also known as Basant Yadav, was the orchestrator of the crime. The other arrested individuals were Lal Mohan Prajapati, IMRoz Ansari, Bablu Yadav, Shrichand Prajapati (Chandu), and Vijay Prajapati (Kalu). The motive for the crime was a feud between Kunal Kumar and his neighbor, Rajballabh Gop, related to land disputes. The dispute intensified, culminating in an attack on Kunal’s father and ensuing verbal altercations. Driven by revenge, Kunal arranged for the murder of Rajballabh Gop, offering ₹5 lakh to the shooters. The shooters, while trying to identify their target, confused Ravi Kumar, who was wearing a white shirt, with Rajballabh Gop, leading to the fatal shooting of the wrong person. Rajballabh Gop was also shot and wounded in the event. The police confiscated the weapons, a motorcycle, and a car used in the commission of the crime.
