Rahul Gandhi’s visit to his constituency, Raebareli, was disrupted by a protest led by BJP workers, including State Minister Dinesh Pratap Singh. They attempted to stop his convoy. The protestors chanted slogans, and many sat down in the road to block the vehicles, which led to a tense situation with the police. The event occurred in front of the Mahavir Degree College, within the jurisdiction of Harchandpur police station. Singh and other BJP supporters occupied the Lucknow-Prayagraj National Highway. Singh stated that Rahul Gandhi should have condemned the remarks made about Prime Minister Modi’s mother and called for strong action. The BJP members demanded that Gandhi apologize to the women of the country. A video of the incident is available. The convoy was delayed, but eventually continued to Bachhrawan, where Congress workers greeted Gandhi. He then traveled to the Harchandpur assembly, where he planned to meet with local party officials at the Batoohi Resort. Rahul Gandhi announced, ‘Vote thief, quit the throne’ as their primary message.
