Hero MotoCorp has launched the Xoom 160 scooter in India. This maxi-style scooter is aimed at competing with the TVS Ntorq 150.
The Xoom 160 features a design intended for both daily commuting and adventurous riding. It has a raised riding position, 14-inch alloy wheels, block-pattern tires, and a muscular design.
The scooter is designed to be capable on both city streets and rough terrains, providing versatility for a wide range of riders. It will be available at Hero Premia dealerships across India and online. The approximate ex-showroom price in India is ₹1.49 lakh, with potential changes expected following GST 2.0 implementation.
The Xoom 160 is powered by a 156cc liquid-cooled engine, delivering 14.69 bhp at 8,000 rpm and 14 Nm of torque at 6,250 rpm, promising swift acceleration and enhanced mileage. The scooter is equipped with Hero’s i3S silent-start system and 4-valve technology, and the liquid-cooling system sets it apart. The Xoom 160 also comes with features such as a smart key system, remote seat access, dual-chamber LED headlamps, front disc brakes with ABS, and a Bluetooth-connected digital console, which includes turn-by-turn navigation. These features position it as a feature-rich scooter in its segment.
