The upcoming film ‘Mirai,’ starring Teja Sajja, has finalized a substantial Rs 40 crore OTT deal, setting the stage for its multi-language release on September 12, 2025. The film will be released in Telugu, Marathi, Malayalam, Kannada, Tamil, Hindi, and Bengali. Jio Hotstar has secured the digital rights in a record-breaking deal, representing a significant investment in Telugu cinema this year. Additional revenue streams from music and satellite rights will bolster the film’s financial standing. The success of the film in theaters will be crucial to its overall profitability. Theatrical rights in Telugu states were sold for Rs 37 crore, requiring the film to earn at least Rs 34 crore to break even. Early ticket bookings indicate robust audience interest, which points to a potentially successful opening. Following the success of ‘HanuMan,’ Teja Sajja has gained wider recognition, with the Hindi release of ‘Mirai’ generating significant buzz. The film, presented by Karan Johar, also sees Manchu Manoj’s return as the main villain, which could revitalize his career. The film is directed by Karthik Ghattamaneni and Anil Anand, starring Teja Sajja, Ritika Nayak, Manchu Manoj Kumar, Shriya Saran, Jagapati Babu, and Jayaram Subramaniam.
