Jayant Kumar Singh, a medical student, was arrested by police in the Sarnath area of Varanasi for allegedly threatening Jharkhand Health Minister Dr. Irfan Ansari. The mobile phone used in the threats was also seized. Following threats, an FIR was registered at the Steel City police station in Bokaro. The complaint stated that Dr. Irfan Ansari received multiple threatening calls. Jharkhand Police tracked the mobile number. Jayant Kumar Singh kept changing locations. Jharkhand Police, with the help of Sarnath police, arrested Jayant Kumar on Thursday while he was heading towards Ghazipur. The police apprehended Jayant Kumar Singh. The arrested individual, Jayant Kumar, is an MBBS graduate. He was preparing for a master’s degree in medicine. He was trying to escape to Ghazipur. He was apprehended near Audhihar via road transport bus. He also has a house in Shillong, Meghalaya.
