Israel rejected the resolution. Israeli Foreign Ministry spokesman Oren Marmorstein wrote on X that the UN has once again proven to be a political platform cut off from reality. The proposal does not mention Hamas as a terrorist organization in any of the dozens of points. Meanwhile, the US mission to the UN stated in a statement that the US opposes the ‘New York Declaration.’ US diplomat Morgan Ortagus called it a political show, stating that there should be no misunderstanding, it is a gift to Hamas.
