A man from the Sikidiri police station area of Ranchi, Jharkhand, committed suicide by ingesting pesticide. The deceased, identified as Nitla Ganjhu, had a tumultuous relationship with his wife, primarily due to his alcohol consumption. The wife would often object to his drinking, leading to frequent arguments. On the day of the incident, a dispute arose between them regarding his drinking habits. After the wife left for the market, Nitla consumed the pesticide and died before she returned. Police investigation showed that the man had a history of mental illness and previous suicide attempts.
