A 14-year-old girl in Nawada, Bihar, suffered a harrowing experience after asking her brother-in-law for water. The incident began when the girl, accompanied by her friends, encountered her brother-in-law and requested a drink. It’s alleged that the brother-in-law gave her water laced with alcohol. Once the girl was under the influence of the alcohol, she was taken to a remote location where three of the man’s friends were present. The four men then allegedly gang-raped the girl. Police swiftly responded to the incident by launching raids and arresting one suspect. The search continues for the remaining perpetrators. The incident occurred within the Warisaliganj police station’s jurisdiction. According to reports, the girl from a Mahadalit community was subjected to gang rape by several men from the same area. The incident took place on Saturday evening near the Sakri River, approximately one kilometer from the Mahadalit settlement. The girl and her friends were in the area collecting firewood when she felt thirsty and asked her brother-in-law for water. The victim’s mother alleges that the brother-in-law and his associates forced her to drink alcohol instead of water, and then took her to a secluded place and repeatedly raped her. The girl’s friends reported her disappearance to her family, who later found her and informed the police. One of the accused has admitted guilt.
