During the TV9 Digital Bihar event, RJD MP Sudhakar Singh addressed the current political climate and the upcoming Bihar elections. Singh emphasized the absence of internal democracy across all political parties. He also highlighted the continuous focus on elections in Bihar and the widespread national interest in the Bihar elections. Recalling the 2020 elections, Singh spoke of the close outcome. He criticized the Election Commission’s Voter List Revision (SIR) initiative. He questioned the fairness of the Election Commission in managing the voter list. Singh stated that elections are often decided by a very small percentage of votes, and discussed the BJP’s use of surveys to improve their vote share. He mentioned the Election Commission’s initial plan to exclude a significant portion of voters. Addressing the topic of Aadhaar cards and their use in voter list management, Singh noted the absence of a clear explanation from the Election Commission. He discussed that the number of Aadhaar card holders in Bihar exceeds the number of voters, owing to the differing age requirements. He also added that Aadhaar cards can’t be made at three locations, and the usage of Aadhaar cards for eliminating duplicate voters from the voter list.
