A man in Andhra Pradesh became the victim of a marriage bureau scam. The man, Karthik, deposited four lakh rupees at a marriage bureau and then married a woman. After 20 days of living together, the woman left, promising to return, but never did. Karthik attempted to contact her and two of her contacts, but their numbers were no longer active. He filed a complaint with the Holagunda police. The police conducted an investigation using technical means, and apprehended the woman and her two associates from Rajahmundry. The incident took place in Muddatamagi village, Holagunda Mandal, Kurnool district.
