Haris Rauf, a member of the Pakistan cricket team, discussed the team’s mindset amidst the off-field controversy surrounding the Asia Cup 2025. This controversy was triggered by the post-match behavior of the Indian team, leading to a reaction from the PCB, coach Mike Hesson, and captain Salman Ali Agha. Agha did not attend the post-match presentation, and the PCB challenged the actions of match referee Andy Pycroft. The PCB considered boycotting the tournament if Pycroft was not replaced, but the ICC rejected their request. Prior to the match against the UAE, the Pakistani team was engaged in internal discussions about whether to play. It’s been reported the situation was settled after Pycroft apologized. Rauf explained that he personally felt no pressure, as his primary concern was his performance on the field. He considered the situation to be the responsibility of the board. He highlighted that the team aimed to capitalize on opportunities and that the team was preparing for upcoming matches.
