Robo Shankar, a well-known Tamil actor and comedian, has died at the age of 46. He passed away in Chennai on Thursday after being admitted to GEM Hospital. According to the hospital, Shankar was admitted on September 16, 2025, in a critical state with severe health issues. His condition rapidly declined, and he died on September 18. Following the news, many members of the film industry, including Kamal Haasan and Radikaa Sarathkumar, shared their condolences. Chief Minister MK Stalin also offered a statement of sympathy. Robo Shankar’s career spanned various roles in Tamil cinema and television. He was known for his comedic performances, appearing alongside actors like Dhanush and Thalapathy Vijay. He also featured in television programs such as ‘Kings of Comedy Juniors’, bringing laughter to audiences through his versatile talent, highlighted by his role in ‘Maari’.
