On September 16, Raju’s second wife ran away with her lover, two months after the wedding. Raju’s sister saw her on a motorcycle with the man, but they were already gone by the time she could alert others.
Raju married his second wife on July 11, two months before the elopement. The wedding followed the end of his first marriage. The second wife was much younger. The family believed things would improve, but they did not foresee her leaving with her lover so quickly.
