Yasin Malik, the jailed JKLF leader, has made startling revelations in an affidavit submitted to the Delhi High Court. He stated that his meeting with Lashkar-e-Taiba founder Hafiz Saeed in 2006 was not a personal initiative, but was organized by senior Indian intelligence officers. Malik, serving a life sentence in a terror funding case, claims that the meeting was part of a secret peace effort with Pakistan. He added that former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh expressed gratitude after the meeting.
