    The ‘East Tech Symposium-2025’ (Defence Expo) was inaugurated in Ranchi, with the presence of Governor Santosh Kumar Gangwar and Chief Minister Hemant Soren. The event took place at the Tana Bhagat Indoor Stadium in Khelgaon and was organized by the Union Ministry of Defence. Chief Minister Soren emphasized the importance of the event for the state and expressed his optimism about its potential to further the goals of the defense sector. He also discussed the potential for growth in Jharkhand’s defense sector and committed the state’s support to the central government’s initiatives for self-reliance in defense. The Chief Minister mentioned the presence of essential resources like uranium and the established industries in Jharkhand, especially HEC, which manufactures key components. Soren expressed his concerns over the current status of HEC and suggested that the central and state governments collaborate to assist industries, aiming at self-sufficiency in the defense sector. He also mentioned the Defence Chief of the Indian Armed Forces, the positive efforts in the MSME sector, and the state government’s promise to fully support the defense sector. The Defence Expo included specialists from the defense sector, industrial organizations, technical institutions, and small and medium enterprises.
