Multiple Ukrainian regions were subjected to a substantial missile and drone assault by Russia on Saturday. The attacks caused the deaths of three people and injured more than 26 others. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported that the strikes affected nine areas, including Dnipropetrovsk, Mykolaiv, Chernihiv, Zaporizhzhia, Poltava, Kyiv, Odesa, Sumy, and Kharkiv. The attacks focused on critical infrastructure, residential zones, and private facilities.

Zelenskyy underscored that these attacks represent Russia’s strategy to instill fear and destroy Ukrainian infrastructure. He further mentioned the possibility of meeting with former U.S. President Trump during the upcoming United Nations General Assembly meeting in New York. Discussions concerning humanitarian issues impacting children may also occur between the First Ladies of the United States and Ukraine.
